Farrar's Building has a strong presence in Serious Crime. Seven silks, Patrick Harrington QC, Gerard Elias QC, Douglas Day QC, Ian Murphy QC, Paul Lewis QC, Michael Chambers QC and Peter Murphy QC and four juniors, Helen Hobhouse, Huw Davies, James Pretsell, Carwyn Cox and Matthew Kerruish-Jones are regularly instructed in some of the heaviest cases. The silks predominantly specialise in crime, although they each also practise in other areas.

Members of Chambers prosecute for the SFO, HMRC and CPS Special Casework Division as well as many major cases for each CPS authority in Wales and elsewhere.

Farrar's also defends at the highest level of serious crime in fraud and documents cases and also mainstream criminal work. The geographical spread of work is very wide with strong emphasis on London, Wales, Cheshire, the Midlands and East Anglia.
