
Members of Farrar's Building have long-standing experience and expertise in Public Inquiries and Inquests. The comprehensive knowledge at all levels within Chambers in relation to these areas of practice connects logically to the specialist knowledge in our core areas of practice; including criminal, personal injury, heath and safety, professional negligence and regulatory law. Accordingly, Farrar's Building has provided Counsel to a number of recent Public Inquiries concerning sensitive and significant areas of the public interest.

The work of chambers in general and Gerard Elias QC in particular is recognised by the Legal 500 where he is "rightly regarded for his experience in not only acting in the Bloody Sunday Inquiry, but also the North Wales Child Abuse Inquiry. The set's historic experience extends to the King's Cross Inquiry and has broadened to include experience of related regulatory work also".
Furthermore, members of chambers also have specialist experience appearing as Counsel in International Tribunals, notably the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (including the Milosevic trial), and the Special Court for Sierra Leone (Melissa Pack, Junior Counsel).
