Nick works predominantly in the field of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence where he  represents Claimants and Defendants across a broad range of work. He appears regularly in Court  in employer's liability, industrial disease, road traffic, occupiers liability, Highways Act, sporting injuries and other personal injury and Clinical Negligence matters.

He also has experience of Inquests and CICA hearings.

Nick has a busy paperwork practice advising and drafting on all aspects of personal injury and clinical negligence work.

Nick's other main interest is in professional and sports disciplinary work . He is a member of the Amateur Swimming Association, Dispute Resolution and Disciplinary Panel.

Nick  is Direct Access qualified and has represented a number of clients on a Direct Access basis.

Notable cases
  • Successfully represented  Claimant pedestrian in a running down case in two day multi track trial in the Gloucester County Court.
  • Successfully represented Claimant roofer in two day multi track trial in the Leicester County Court against main contractor and scaffolding contractor in a claim arising out of the collapse of scaffolding on a construction site.
  • Represented Defendant local authority, successfully resisting Appeal from the Trial Judge's dismissal of a claim based on breaches of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (1998).
  • Successfully represented Claimant holidaymaker in trial against the Package Tour Operator under the The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 in the Nottingham County Court arising out of a slip at a Turkish hotel.
  • Successfully represented Claimant school chef in the Luton County Court in a three day trial arising out of a Work Related Upper Limb Disorder claim.
  • Ongoing case representing construction professional in quantum only, high six-figure claim, arising out of a fall from scaffolding on construction site.
  • Settled six-figure claim at JSM for Claimant against MOD, arising out of a  claim in relation to defective work equipment.
  • Ongoing claim representing Claimant in significant six-figure clinical negligence claim against Health Authority and Consultant Surgeon arising out of failure to diagnose and/or treat appropriately.
  • Settled 6 figure CRPS claim at JSM arising out of accident at work.
