Alan is currently ranked in the top tier of PI silks in the Legal 500 and in Band 1 of PI silks in Chambers & Partners Guide. He has been recommended for personal injury work in each directory every year since they were first published.
Alan Jeffreys QC is a specialist in all aspects of personal injury litigation, and has an interest in professional negligence, product liability, and health & safety. His practice involves a large proportion of catastrophic injury cases with a concentration upon brain damage. Complex causation (both clinical and factual), accident reconstruction and mechanical defect cases are all areas of continuing particular interest.
Alan is currently engaged in Patel v Arriva where C sustained apparently serious injury when run down by a bus. Fundamental dishonesty is alleged against him because doctors examined him and found him bed-ridden, grossly disabled, and mute. Surveillance between the examinations suggested that C was mobile, talking, and without visible problems. Liability has been dealt with at a trial. The issue of fundamental dishonesty is to be determined at a hearing during April 2019.
