Samuel has a busy and successful general common law practice. His particular focus is on personal injury, and includes related areas in insurance, fraud and fundamental dishonesty. He also has a keen interest, following on from his academic background, in clinical negligence and medical professional regulation.

Samuel is daily in court acting for claimants and defendants in a variety of claims arising from accidents, often including allegations of fundamental dishonesty. In addition, he maintains a paperwork practice covering advice and drafting at all stages.

Personal Injury

Samuel’s principal practice is in personal injury matters, instructed both for claimants and defendants. He is instructed on a variety of matters involving, for example: road traffic accidents, public (including occupiers’) and employers’ liability, and Highways Act claims. He regularly appears in trials, disposals and interim hearings, on all tracks. He also accepts paperwork instructions for advice and drafting at all litigation stages.

Insurance

Samuel is developing his practice in property damage and general insurance claims. He has appeared at trial, prepared pleadings and provided written advice on claims involving subsidence, infestation and insurance contract clauses, including cross-examination of experts.

Samuel also has experience in appearing at and advising on possession proceedings, including those involving disrepair.

Clinical Negligence

Samuel is keen to continue developing his interest and practice in clinical negligence claims. His experience includes drafting pleadings and advising on both liability and quantum across claims involving delayed and misdiagnosis, inadequate care and supervision, and delayed or inappropriate treatment.

Civil Fraud

Samuel’s practice regularly includes claims where fundamental dishonesty is alleged. He is instructed to appear and provide advice at all stages, including pleadings, disclosure and other applications, and trial, where issues as to the nature and extent of accidents and injuries are challenged.

Credit Hire

Samuel is regularly instructed in and is very familiar with matters which include any and all credit hire elements, for both claimants and defendants.

Regulatory & Disciplinary

Samuel receives instructions for interim and substantive hearings conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and the Health and Care Professions Council. He has also recently been instructed for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is happy to be instructed across all aspects of regulatory and disciplinary matters.

General Common Law

Samuel is happy to accept instructions in all types of general common law matters. Prior to coming to the Bar he worked as a paralegal in a boutique firm in Mayfair, which involved assisting in preparation of a £1.8million breach of contract claim which succeeded at trial, as well as a number of other cases in trusts, tort and international contract law.

Samuel also has experience in appearing at and advising on possession proceedings, including those involving disrepair.

Samuel enjoys music ranging from opera to musicals, reading and gaming in fantasy worlds and occasionally subjecting himself to the whims of the baking deities.
