Catastrophic Injury

Members are regularly instructed in high-value catastrophic injury claims involving complex issues such as accommodation, care and case management, state funding, and substantial loss of earnings and pension claims.

Our expertise includes traumatic brain injuries, ranging from disorders of consciousness and diffuse axonal injury to epilepsy and capacity issues, as well as spinal cord injuries, with associated complications such as autonomic dysreflexia, syringomyelia and life expectancy considerations. We also act in amputation claims, including those involving advanced prosthetics, phantom limb pain and surgical intervention.

Farrar’s Building has a national reputation in industrial disease litigation. Members act at all levels, from the County Court to the Court of Appeal, in claims involving asbestos, noise induced hearing loss, acoustic shock, hand arm vibration syndrome, work-related upper limb disorder, occupational stress, silicosis, dermatitis and COSHH related injuries.

Sports injuries
