Hena is an experienced advocate and is regularly instructed on complex multi-day regulatory hearings. Hena is happy to accept instructions to draft pleadings and provide advice on liability, quantum and tactics.
Hena is also a member of the Attorney General’s Junior Junior Scheme. She is regularly instructed by regulatory bodies, regulated professionals, insurance companies and government departments.

Hena has an interest in all matters relating to regulatory and disciplinary law.
Hena has acted in proceedings involving the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the General Dental Council, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Health Care Professional Council. She has extensive experience of multi-day substantive hearings and has presented varied and complex cases concerning allegations of sexual, racial, and professional misconduct and technical clinical concerns.
Hena also appears on behalf of professional registrants, and has advised on unique jurisdictional issues concerning quasi-dually qualified professionals. She has a forensic eye for detail and is able to advise on strategy throughout the course of regulatory proceedings.

Hena has an interest in all matters relating to public law.
She is regularly instructed on behalf of the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office and has been instructed by HMRC to assist with a malicious prosecution and misfeasance claim. She is also instructed by the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) at the Treasury to advise in an investigation into potential sanctions breaches.
Public Inquiries
Hena is developing a public inquires practice. She has been instructed in some of the most high-profile inquiries including the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, where she was instructed as part of the counsel team for HMRC. She is currently being led on the Undercover Policing Inquiry and is acting on behalf of an officer.
Personal Injury
Hena acts for claimants and defendants in personal injury cases. She has drafted numerous pleadings, including schedules of losses for multi-million pound claims. She is an accomplished court advocate and has attended multiple-day hearings on cases concerning fundamental dishonesty.
Clinical Negligence
Hena is keen to develop her practice in this area. She has gained a broad exposure to clinical negligence work during her pupillage where she worked on advices, pleadings and observed a contested liability trials.
