Tory Logue joined Farrar’s Building in 2017 after 12 years as a tenant at Parklane Plowden in Leeds. Her practice focuses predominantly on civil fraud and personal injury litigation, appearing for both claimants and defendants.  She also has expertise acting for interested persons at Inquests.

Tory has established an extensive personal injury practice across the whole range of PI claims.  She is regularly instructed by leading solicitor firms, local authorities and major insurers on road traffic accidents, employer, occupier and public liability claims.  Tory appears in Court on a weekly basis at CCMCs, interlocutory hearings and trials.

She has substantial experience in civil matters with a fraudulent or exaggerated element to them.  In personal injury cases, Tory deals with low velocity impacts, phantom passengers, mistaken identity and exaggeration of symptoms and/or damages.  She has persuaded Courts to make findings of fundamental dishonesty, disapply QOCS, and strike out the claim under s57.

All types of paperwork are undertaken by Tory, including advising on liability, quantum, prospects, tactics, Part 36 and drafting pleadings and questions to experts.

Tory has considerable experience in claims involving fraud, LVI, fundamental dishonesty, phantom passengers, staged accidents, as well as fabricated or exaggerated injury and/or damages.

On many occasions she has persuaded Courts to make findings of fundamental dishonesty, disapply QOCS, and strike out the claim under s57. She recently obtained a finding of FD acting on behalf of a defendant in an OLA claim concerning an accident on a ride at the Defendant’s adventure park.
