Katriona joined Chambers in October 2025 following the successful completion of her pupillage. She is building a varied practice in all of Chambers’ core areas, with a particular interest in personal injury, clinical negligence and regulatory work.

Katriona appears in court regularly, appearing for both claimants and defendants in a range of matters, including small claims, fast track trials, and applications. She is also growing her paperwork practice and is happy to accept instructions to draft pleadings, schedules and counter schedules, as well as to advise in respect of liability, quantum and strategy.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Katriona obtained a degree in History from the University of Cambridge, before obtaining the GDL and achieving her Master of Laws with Distinction. She subsequently worked for a leading law firm, first in the divorce and family department, and later in the personal injury department, assisting on a number of cases involving brain injuries, amputations, and spinal cord injuries.

Personal Injury

Katriona accepts instructions to act on behalf of both claimants and defendants in a range of personal injury matters. She is happy to accept instructions to draft pleadings, schedules and counter schedules, and to advise on liability and quantum matters.

Katriona is willing to accept instructions on a CFA basis.

Clinical Negligence

Katriona has a keen interest in clinical negligence and intends to continue to develop her practice in this area.

During pupillage, Katriona gained insight into a range of clinical negligence drafting. She welcomes instructions on behalf of both claimants and defendants in this area.

Professional Discipline & Regulation

Katriona is interested in all aspects of regulatory law, and is developing experience working with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Employment

Having gained insight into the Employment Tribunal and claims involving unfair dismissal and discrimination, Katriona is interested in developing her practice in this area. She is willing to accept instructions on behalf of both claimants and respondents.

Inquests

Katriona has a keen interest in inquest, having observed inquests during pupillage. She is seeking to develop her practice in this area.

Credit Hire

Katriona is regularly instructed in credit hire matters, for both claimants and defendants. She has experience handling all aspects of credit hire.

  • 2020 – Bar Professional Training Course, University of Law. (Awarded academic prize for personal injury and clinical negligence for achieving the highest mark in the year for the module).
  • 2020 – Master of Laws in Bar Practice, University of Law.
  • 2019 – Graduate Diploma in Law, BPP University.
  • 2018 – BA History, Queens’ College Cambridge.

Personal Interests

Katriona has a keen interest in the arts, and particularly enjoys music and ballet, whether watching or participating. She also has a love of travel and enjoys exploring new countries and cultures.
