Sorcha was called to the Bar by Inner Temple and joined chambers as a tenant in October 2021 following successful completion of her pupillage. Before coming to the Bar, Sorcha was a Paralegal, specialising in employment law where she worked on a variety of cases involving unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination.

Sorcha appears in court on a daily basis for Claimants and Defendants, both remotely and in person. She accepts a range of instructions including small claim and fast-track trials, Stage 3 disposals and interim applications across Chambers’ core practice areas, particularly Personal Injury and Credit Hire. Sorcha is also building her Employment Law practice and has conducted multi-day Tribunal hearings.

During her studies, Sorcha was a keen mooter and debater. In 2017, she was selected to represent her university at an international mooting competition held in India. Sorcha then went on to win the annual Hunt Cup Debating Competition, founded by Lord Hunt.

Personal Interests

In her spare time, Sorcha enjoys baking, going to the theatre, and Zumba. She also likes to visit her home county of Cumbria whenever she can.
