Alicia is building a broad and varied practice at Farrar’s Building. She accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ core practice areas and has a particular interest in personal injury, employment and regulatory/disciplinary work.
Alicia sustains both a busy court and paperwork, practice, routinely acting for both claimants and defendants. She enjoys representing and advising clients in a range of civil matters, including personal injury, employment, credit hire, property damage, travel, and contractual disputes. Alicia is willing to accept instructions on a CFA basis.
Before coming to the Bar, Alicia obtained her undergraduate degree in Human, Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Subsequently, she achieved a Distinction in the GDL and an Outstanding in the BPC. In support of her legal studies, she was awarded a Lord Denning Scholarship from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, alongside a Senior Advocacy Scholarship from the University of Law. Throughout her legal studies, Alicia undertook regular pro-bono work, during which she enjoyed assisting clients in both employment and social security matters.
Alicia also gained experience in the higher education sector, working as the Operations Manager of the Department of Finance at the London School of Economics.
Personal Injury
Alicia accepts instructions on behalf of both claimants and defendants in a range of personal injury matters. She regularly appears in court acting in trials, case management and interlocutory hearings, stage 3 disposals, and infant approval hearings. She is particularly well-versed in cases encompassing a credit hire element.
Alicia’s paperwork practice in this area is similarly broad, and she accepts instructions to draft statements of case, schedules of loss, and to provide written advice on matters of both liability and quantum.
Alicia further has a keen interest in inquest work and is seeking to continue to develop her practice in this area. During pupillage, Alicia had the opportunity to observe and undertake noting briefs at a number of inquests, and was also able to observe pre-inquest review hearings.

Clinical Negligence
Alicia has a keen interest in clinical negligence and is keen to continue to develop her practice in this area.
During pupillage, Alicia gained an insight into a range of both fatal and non-fatal clinical negligence cases, including surgical malpractice, matters of late / wrongful diagnosis, and errors in dispensing and administering medication.
Professional Discipline & Regulation
Alicia has an interest in regulatory and disciplinary law and accepts instructions to act for both regulators and professionals.
Employment
Alicia has experience appearing in the Employment Tribunal in both trials and preliminary hearings. Her paperwork practice also encompasses drafting pleadings and providing written advice on matters of liability and quantum. She is willing to accept instructions on behalf of both claimants and respondents.
Alicia has experience of claims involving unfair and constructive dismissal, redundancy, discrimination (both disability and race), harassment and whistleblowing/victimisation.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Alicia undertook employment work on a pro-bono basis for a Leeds-based organisation. Her work included a 7-day disability discrimination and harassment trial in the Leeds Employment Tribunal.
Property Damage
Alicia regularly appears in Court representing both Claimants and Defendants in property damage disputes. She also has a busy paperwork practice in this regard, advising on both liability and quantum and drafting statements of case.
