We are delighted to announce that Leeann Mohamed will join Chambers on 19 October 2026.

Leeann is an experienced barrister with a substantial background in professional discipline, regulatory law and complex civil litigation.

She brings to Chambers significant experience gained both in practice and through a number of senior in-house legal roles, including positions with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and, most notably, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Leeann has extensive expertise in professional discipline and regulatory proceedings. During her time as a Lawyer and Senior Lawyer at the NMC, she acted in a wide range of complex and sensitive cases and developed particular experience in matters involving serious allegations and challenging legal and evidential issues. Leeann has also had conduct of a number of High Court appeals and has represented the NMC in the Court of Appeal. Her experience gives her a valuable insight into regulatory decision-making and disciplinary processes, and she is well placed to act for both regulators and those facing regulatory or disciplinary proceedings.

Prior to her in-house roles, Leeann developed a busy and varied practice at the Bar, encompassing Employment Law, Immigration Law and Personal Injury. She is available to accept instructions across these areas, drawing on her substantial experience in advocacy, litigation and case preparation.

Leeann was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2011, following 6 years as a Solicitor in England and Wales. As a solicitor, she gained broad experience in general civil litigation, with a particular specialism in Travel Litigation. Leeann’s legal career began in Trinidad and Tobago, where she was called to the Bar in 2001.
