Farrar’s Building is excited to announce that Caroline Rees KC joins Chambers as an associate member today.

Elected as Leader of the Wales and Chester Circuit earlier this year, and with recent accolades including a shortlisting for Crime Silk of the Year 2022 at the Legal 500 Awards and The Times ‘Lawyer of the Week’ in June 2022, Caroline is a stellar addition to Farrar’s Building’s long history of specialist Kings Counsel dealing with high profile crime, fraud, inquests and health and safety cases of the utmost severity.

Caroline has been ranked in the main legal directories since 2009, with comments in the 2023 Chambers and Legal 500 directories including, “exceptional with dealing with very difficult and high-profile cases”, “a formidable opponent”, “an amazing advocate; her delivery in court is a work of art”, “the safest pair of hands”, “exceptionally strong in cross examination and meticulously prepared”, and that she, “inspires confidence with every word she says”.

Caroline comments: “I am delighted to be joining Farrar’s Building and to be working alongside a strong Welsh contingent that already exists in Chambers, including my good friend, Paul Lewis KC. Farrar’s have clearly been taking giant leaps in recent months in terms of their development as a set and I am excited to be joining them on that journey as an associate member.”

Farrar’s Building’s Head of Chambers, Paul Lewis KC says: “I am thrilled that Caroline is joining us. She is, as is clear from the breadth and quality of her directory client and opponent comments, a remarkable advocate and an absolute pleasure to deal with. We very much welcome her to the Farrar’s Family”.

Chambers Chief Executive, Paul Cray, adds: “Caroline’s recruitment is a fantastic addition to our silk-level offerings for serious crime, inquests and health and safety cases. We are excited to welcome her to the team!
