Farrar’s Building is excited to announce that Christopher Rees KC joins Chambers as an associate member today.

Appointed as King’s Counsel in 2023 and with a career spanning 26 years, Christopher is routinely instructed in the most high-profile criminal cases nationally. Christopher is also highly experienced in inquests and regularly instructed to attend multi-day or multi-week hearings.

Christopher has been recommended as a ‘Tier 1′ advocate by Chambers UK and Legal 500 for many years. Testimonials describe Christopher as “an extremely talented individual”“a peerless trial advocate” with an “exceptional legal mind”“His ability to control a courtroom on complex and detailed matters of law is almost unparalleled”.

Christopher comments: “I am delighted to be joining Farrar’s Building and to be practising alongside the strong Welsh contingent that already exists in Chambers, including Paul Lewis KC and another recent recruit, Caroline Rees KC. Farrar’s’ profile in serious crime has remained strong for decades so for me it was the obvious choice for a London set. I am also looking forward to joining their strong Inquests Team and adding to the range of health and safety work they undertake.”

Farrar’s Head of Chambers, Paul Lewis KC says: “I am thrilled that Christopher has joined Chambers. Christopher is a fantastic advocate with a huge amount of experience across crime and quasi-criminal proceedings, and will no doubt add a further dimension to our growing team”.

Chambers Chief Executive, Paul Cray, adds: “We are over the moon that Christopher has agreed to join Farrar’s. He offers a great range of skills and experience to support our silk-level offerings for serious crime, inquests and health and safety cases. Welcome to the team, Christopher!”
