Emily has experience acting and advising in Employment law matters and is keen to expand her knowledge and experience in this area.
Her experiences includes:
- Successfully representing a Claimant (pro bono via Advocate) in a claim for unfair dismissal, unlawful deductions from wages and unpaid holiday.
- Obtaining strike out of a discrimination claim brought in the County Court.
- Advising on the merits of a claim for constructive dismissal, victimisation, whistleblowing and discrimination.
- Most recently, advising on whether a claw-back provision in an employment contract constituted an unenforceable penalty clause.
