General Common Law

It is recognised that individual cases may defy easy categorisation or require addressing a diverse number of legal issues. There are very few areas falling within the ‘general common law’ field that Chambers general common law barristers will not be able to provide assistance with, and certainly our clerking team will be happy to deal with any inquiries and give indication which members would be best able to help.

By way of example (though by no means closed), recent matters members have acted in include:

  • Property and neighbour disputes
  • Landlord and tenant issues
  • Easements and rights of way
  • Subsidence claims
  • Claims under the Animals Act
  • Contractual disputes
  • Injunctive and declaratory relief
