Public Law

Members of Farrar’s Building are regularly instructed in public law matters and possess significant depth and breadth of experience in this area.

Some members also have first-hand experience of working in-house within government organisations.

A number of junior members are currently part of the Attorney General’s scheme and regularly accept instructions from a wide variety of government clients.

Examples of public law matters undertaken include:

  • Judicial review claims
  • Human rights claims
  • Unlawful detention claims
  • Human Trafficking claims
  • Policy challenges
  • Asylum claims
  • Statutory appeals
  • Subject access requests

Members can provide advice (often at short notice) and draft statements of case quickly to cater for urgent situations when needed.

Some members currently hold SC or DV clearance and are instructed in matters held in closed proceedings.
