Civil Fraud

The Farrar’s Building Civil Fraud team specialises in cases concerning the prosecution of fraud and civil contempt proceedings. In addition, all members of the Farrar’s Building personal injury team have experience of advising on and acting in cases concerning fundamental dishonesty whether in the s57 or QOCS contexts. The prevalence of the issue is illustrated by the striking fact that, on average, at least one member of chambers in every week of the year will be making a submission on fundamental dishonesty, whether in court or in pleadings.

Farrar’s Building has national reach and members are instructed in cases throughout England and Wales. Whilst some members are regionally based, all members of Farrar’s Building will travel where required.

In addition to extensive trial experience, Members of Chambers are able to advise both in relation to evidential and pleading matters, the seeking and obtaining of exemplary damages against fraudulent claimants and the instigation and conduct of civil contempt proceedings.
